About the Organization –Centre for Policy and Legal Research in India (CPLRI) is an organization established to analyze the politico-legal issues of India in unison. CPLRI aims to establish and scrutinize a cause-effect relationship between the two.CPLRI also aims to train young legal brains through introducing various academic development programs organized by the Centre which could further bolster the purpose which CPLRI aims to fulfill.
About the Internship –This will be a Research Internship. The topic of the Research would vary depending upon the requirements of CPLRI. The Internship duration is of 4 weeks but it can be extended depending upon the performance of the Interns. The confidentiality with regard to the allotted works shall be strictly adhered. 10 slots available now.
Requirements for the Internship – Computer with an internet connection. Work hours though involving rigorous research will be flexible. Interns would be expected to be punctual towards the tasks allotted. Since this is mainly a research internship, interns would be working on a number of interesting and unexplored areas. They will be guided by the best in the industry.
Who can apply? – This internship is only for law students.
However, students from other streams can be considered in exceptional circumstances based on their past record in policy field.
Incentives – A basic stipend will be given to the best 3 interns out of a few selected in each batch based on their performance. Every intern will be given internship e-certificate. Certificate in hard copy can be sent depending upon the requirement of the interns. Free registration in selected certificate courses introduced by the organization. Free entry in selected competitions organized by the CPLRI.
Application Procedure – The application procedure is quite simple. You have to send your CV to contact@cplri.com with the subject “Research Internship”. You can even include a writing sample of maximum 100 words on any political and legal contemporary topic in the body of the mail. This is just to check the idea you possess regarding the topic. Internship will be provided on a rolling basis. It is advised to send the application as soon as possible.
