Rayat College of Law, was established in 2004, is housed in an independent building at the RGI Ropar Campus. The College is affiliated to the Panjab University, Chandigarh and the courses are approved by the BCI. Equipped with infrastructure including Moot Court, state-of the-art Library and Computer Lab with 24 hrs internet facility, wi-fi Campus the College provides an excellent environment for learning. To instill an ability in our students to develop core competencies which are essential to embark on the practice of law, we have a special focus on practical training.

Conduct of moot court competition, court visits and expert lectures by authorities on Law and Social sciences is a routine here. Rayat College of Law has already carved a niche for itself in the field of legal education.

About the Seminar
Rayat College of Law, is organizing One day National Seminar (online/offline mode) On “Criminal Law & Administration of Criminal Justice System in India : Recent Trends” on March 09, 2022. Eminent personalities from various spheres of the legal profession will be attending the seminar to share their perspective and
expertise on the issue to be discussed. Through this seminar, we aspire to generate interest, enhance and leverage the understanding of the students in the ongoing dialogue of criminal law and administration of the criminal justice system and its intricate dynamics. The objectives of the seminar are to provide a platform to
students of various law schools and members of the allied disciplines to have qualified discussions on various themes revolving around the topic.

This seminar will provide an opportunity to bring together the curious and inquisitive students to the legal luminaries and professionals who are involved in the area of criminal law. The seminar will be an educative event consisting of invited talks and panel discussions to galvanize the targeted aware citizens for the benefit of the criminal justice system prevailing in the country.

Call for Papers
Participations are invited for the presentation of original on-going/completed unpublished research work. The participants are requested to submit their papers
as a soft copy to the Convener through email at rclseminar2021@gmail.com. The length of the paper should not exceed 8000 words. The paper should be typed
in MS-Word using Times New Roman font size of 12 with 1.5 line spacing. Foot notes and citations research work are to be given as per the format of Indian Law
Institute available at www.ili.ac.in, in single space.

An abstract of the paper (not more than 200 words) may please be sent beforehand.
