About SamVidhi

SamVidhi is a socio-legal venture crafted by the students of Gujarat National Law University with an aim to encourage and provide a platform for expressing opinions and analysis on socio-legal issues. In addition to this, SamVidhi undertakes various exercises to serve the society in the best possible manner as and when the opportunity arises. Our dedicated team at SamVidhi continuously strives to build a better tomorrow.  To this end, we have successfully conducted several (virtual and physical) legal literacy sessions in the past. We have been funded under Student Startup & Innovation Policy by Gujarat Government and incubated by GNLU Legal Incubation Council.

About the Speaker

Mr. Meet Ashar is an Animal Rights Activist associated with PETA and also with several government organizations such as the Maharashtra State Animal Welfare Board. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce in the year 2014, Mr. Ashar then pursued his LL.B. from the University of Mumbai in 2017. During this period, Mr. Ashar held several roles of responsibility in the domain of Animal Rights. Sir has been an Honorary Advisor to the MH State Animal Welfare Board and has also been the Animal Welfare Officer at Animal Welfare Board of India, to name a few. Mr. Ashar is extremely concerned about Animal Rights and is working diligently in this field. Mr. Ashar’s words have also been published in the Times Education’s Annual Magazine.
