DELHI HIGH COURT DISMISSES PETITION WHICH WAS FILED BY MEHUL CHOSKI IN CONTRARY TO UPCOMING NETFLIX SERIES KNOW AS BAD BOYS BILLIONAIRE

Mehul choksi the escapee lately filed a petition which was dismissed by the Delhi high court, and the petition contained that if the documentary will release it will hamper or take his investigation in the wrong direction. The documentary knows as bad boy billionaire was likely to top float on  OTT platform Netflix on 2 September 2020. Mehul choski has been alleged for fraud of 2 billion dollars.

In the petition, choksi asked for these things.

  1. He asked to oversee the content which might affect the investigation and further pending trails prejudicially, and ensure that no prejudice may not cost to the accused Mehul choksi
  2. He asked the court and counsel to see it before it is released, it means he is demanding a pre-screening for the bad boy’s billionaire.
  3. Further, he prayed before the Delhi high court is to not release the apex part to the content which might hamper his image and affect the ongoing investigation.
  4. The episode or part which is concerning him or likely to affect the trails and investigation should be postponed he is asking it to release it later.

Similar prayers have been refused by the division bench in Justice for Rights

Foundation vs. Union of India case counsel of respondent pointed out.

The counsel of the respondent also pointed out that there is no regulation by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), for the OTT platforms.
