4G MOBILE INTERNET IS BACK IN JAMMU AND KASHMIR ON A TRIAL BASIS

The Supreme Court decision on the matter relating to Internet services in J&K states that Right to the internet comes under Fundamental rights under Article 19. The PTI quoted officials of J&K said that 4G services are soon going to resort in J&K. The Home department of Jammu and Kashmir recently said that they are going to revive the 4G internet services in two districts Ganderbal district of Kashmir and Udhampur of Jammu region. As per the reports, the rest of the district will be continuing with 2G services. The internet services were scrapped from Jammu and Kashmir on amidst of August 5, 2019, when Article 370 and 35A was scrapped, and J&K was made an integral part of India.

Centre had recently informed the Supreme Court that it had constituted a special committee to make a decision on allowing the resumption of high-speed data facility on an attempt basis within the two districts.
