About the Organizer

ILS Law College, or in its full name Indian Law Society’s Law College, is a government law school in Pune, India. It was established in 1924 and offers courses that include three-year and five-year degrees. ILS is located on Law College Road, Pune.

The Institute of Advanced Legal Studies was established in 1991. The Institute was launched on 4th March 1991 at the hands of Late Shri. G.G. Karnik, the then Vice-President of the Indian Law Society. Professor S.P. Sathe, the former Principal of the ILS College was the founder Director of the Institute.

About the Conference

ILS Law College is organising a three-day 14th International Conference on “Contemporary Trends in Comparative Public Law” in the memory of S.P. SATHE.

Date: 06th to 08th March 2020.

Call for Papers

ILS Law College under auspices of Remembering SP Sathe Foundation (set up by the Indian Law Society) and Centre for Public Law is pleased to invite abstracts from law students, academicians, lawyers, activist, researchers and faculty around the world for participation and submission of Research Papers for Remembering S.P. Sathe: 14th International Conference on “Contemporary Trends in Comparative Public Law”.

Each applicant must submit an abstract of no more than 500-words by email to icpl.ils2020[at]gmail.com with the subject “Research Paper Abstract- International Conference” and receipt of registration fees.

Abstract without registration shall not be accepted. Payment of registration fees entitles the participants to attend the conference, even in case of rejection of the abstract.

Participants shortlisted by the organizing committee to present papers in the parallel sessions of the conference must submit their full paper by 31st January 2020 by e-mail to icpl.ils2020[at]gmail.com not exceeding 6000 words (including footnotes).

Selected Research Papers presented during the conference may be published in the in-house journal ‘ILS Law Review’.
